Sierra Recycling and Demolition took on the task of demolishing out of service equipment (gas compressor boosters, fin fans, vapor recovery units, tanks, vessels, pumps/motors, and associated pipelines). Prior to any work, Sierra R&D acquired all the necessary permits needed to begin work. Sierra R&D’s crew used an excavator with shear attachment to remove and bring down the large equipment along with the over-head pipelines. The dismantled equipment was processed into manageable pieces, loaded into an end dump trailer, and brought into Sierra R&D’s recycling facility and recycled. Once the surface equipment was demoed, the crew began the next phase of the project, removing the below surface concrete foundations and pads. Sierra R&D’s crew finished the job with some final site restoration of back filling and leveling the area with a front-end loader with bucket.
